summer camp
Artworks Summer Camp is a highly creative, encouraging environment for day campers ages 6-17. Students explore different art mediums, giving an educational hands-on approach to art through a series of week-long sessions.We encourage students to participate in multiple weeks.
Camp is held Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm. After care is available until 5:15pm.Ages 6-12
Students are separated by age to ensure age appropriate activities. Projects change every week, students doing multiple weeks do not repeat projects. Some examples of activities include clay and glazing, watercolor, prism marker art and paper projects. Friday afternoon will conclude the week of camp with a "fun day" of activities.
The day consists of:
9am-10:15am (Pastel drawing)
10:30-10:40 (Break for snack, and outside/attic)
10:40-12pm (Morning Project)
12pm-1pm (Lunch, Games, Outside/Attic)
1pm-2:30pm (Afternoon Project)
2:30pm-2:45pm (Clean up)
2:45pm -3pm (Getting ready for pick up

Teen Camp (ages 13-17)
The Teen program will begin each Monday by going to a museum and/or gallery, followed by plein air painting with oils and watercolors on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, ending Friday with portfolio building.
Multiple weeks give a student the experience of what it is like to be a working artist, having an awareness of current and past artwork, building a body of work, and finally documenting it within a portfolio.
